Your prophethood has concluded and your term ended, so look to what you have of knowledge, belief, the heritage of prophethood, the choicest knowledge and the Most Exalted Name, and confer it upon your offspring—with Hibat Allāh [1]—for I will not have left the Earth without a Scholar through whom My ordained religion and obedience to Me is recognised, and whoever obeys him attains salvation.”

Indeed, I have not left the Earth without there being a Scholar residing upon it through whom (correct) obedience to Me, and My right guidance, is recognised, and he will be a means of salvation during the interval between the passing of one Prophet to the emergence of another. Nor have I left Iblis to misguide people without someone who is a Divine authority, acting on My behalf, upon the Earth, a missionary (inviting people) to Me, a guide to My path, and one cognisant of My ordinance. Verily, I have designated for every people a guide, through whom I guide the felicitous, and who is a Divine authority upon the wretched.”
