Yes. Thaqalayn is free, with no ads or subscriptions. Donations to the not-for-profit foundation support its development.
What works without an internet connection?
You can read and search the Quran, hadith and duas offline. Downloading additional translations, syncing between devices and using Ask the Thaqalayn require an internet connection.
Do I need an account?
You can read, search and use prayer times without an account. Sign in to sync your bookmarks, notes, reading progress and prayer tracking across devices, or to use Ask the Thaqalayn.
How are prayer times calculated?
Prayer times are calculated for your location using the Jaʿfarī method by default. You can change the calculation method and angles in the app’s prayer settings.
Which hadith books are included?
The library includes al-Kāfī, Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh, Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām, Nahj al-Balāgha and other Shia collections, with Arabic text and English translations.
Which devices can I use?
Thaqalayn is available for iPhone, iPad and Android. The companion Apple Watch app shows prayer times and includes a tasbīḥ counter that syncs with your iPhone.
