Punishment of injustice

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ مُوسَی عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ بَکْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِنَّ أَسْرَعَ الْخَیْرِ ثَوَاباً الْبِرُّ وَ إِنَّ أَسْرَعَ الشَّرِّ عِقَاباً الْبَغْیُ وَ کَفَی بِالْمَرْءِ عَیْباً أَنْ یَنْظُرَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَی مَا یَعْمَی عَنْهُ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ وَ یُعَیِّرَ النَّاسَ بِمَا لَا یَسْتَطِیعُ تَرْکَهُ وَ یُؤْذِیَ جَلِیسَهُ بِمَا لَا یَعْنِیهِ.
1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq عليه السلام narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “The reward of good done to someone is rewarded earlier than other good deeds and an injustice done to someone is punished earlier than other bad deeds. It is enough for one to have the bad quality of peeping into confidential matters of other people, to continue criticizing others for defects he himself has and to trouble people with senseless talks.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ رَفَعَهُ إِلَی عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِی حَمْزَهَ الثُّمَالِیِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ع یَقُولُ إِنَّ أَسْرَعَ الشَّرِّ عِقَاباً الْبَغْیُ.
2. It is narrated that Imam Muhammad Baqir عليه السلام said, “The evil deed punished first is injustice done to others.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لَوْ بَغَی جَبَلٌ عَلَی جَبَلٍ لَجَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْبَاغِیَ مِنْهُمَا دَکّاً.
3. Imam Ja’far Sadiq عليه السلام narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “If a mountain does injustice to another mountain the Almighty Allah will raze it to the ground.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَیْمُونٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِنَّ أَعْجَلَ الشَّرِّ عُقُوبَهً الْبَغْیُ.
4. Imam Ja’far Sadiq عليه السلام narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “The evil deed to be punished first is injustice.”
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ: دَعَا رَجُلٌ بَعْضَ بَنِی هَاشِمٍ إِلَی الْبِرَازِ فَأَبَی أَنْ یُبَارِزَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِیٌّ ع مَا مَنَعَکَ أَنْ تُبَارِزَهُ فَقَالَ کَانَ فَارِسَ الْعَرَبِ وَ خَشِیتُ أَنْ یَغْلِبَنِی فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّهُ بَغَی عَلَیْکَ وَ لَوْ بَارَزْتَهُ لَغَلَبْتَهُ وَ لَوْ بَغَی جَبَلٌ عَلَی جَبَلٍ لَهَلَکَ الْبَاغِی.
5. And from the previous chain who said: “If he has done injustice to you, you should have fought with him and overpowered him, because if a mountain does injustice to another, Allah destroys the unjust mountain.”
