Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding One Who Does Not Make a Proper Bequest at the Time of Death

رَوَى اَلْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: "مَنْ لَمْ يُحْسِنْ عِنْدَ اَلْمَوْتِ وَصِيَّتَهُ كَانَ نَقْصاً فِي مُرُوءَتِهِ وَ عَقْلِهِ " وَ قَالَ "إِنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ أَوْصَى إِلَى عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ أَوْصَى عَلِيٌّ إِلَى اَلْحَسَنِ وَ أَوْصَى اَلْحَسَنُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِلَى اَلْحُسَيْنِ وَ أَوْصَى اَلْحُسَيْنُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ وَ أَوْصَى عَلِيُّ بْنُ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ إِلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ اَلْبَاقِرِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ ".
Al-Abbas ibn Amir narrated from Aban from Abu Basir from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام, who said: "Whoever does not make a proper will at the time of death, it is a deficiency in his dignity and intellect." Imam عليه السلام also said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (peace be upon him and his family) made a will to Ali عليه السلام, and Ali عليه السلام made a will to Al-Hasan عليه السلام, and Al-Hasan عليه السلام made a will to Al-Hussain عليه السلام, and Al-Hussain عليه السلام made a will to Ali ibn Al-Hussain عليه السلام, and Ali ibn Al-Hussain عليه السلام made a will to Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir عليه السلام."
