Barley Bread

1 hadith
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ عليه السلام, has said, The excellence of barley bread over wheat bread is like our excellence over the people. There had not been any Prophet, who did not ask to eat barley bread and blessed it. In whichever stomach it enters, it removes every illness thereof. It is the sustenance of the Prophets and the food of the virtuous ones. Allah, most High, disdained to make the food of His Prophets in anything other than barley.”’
