Undesirability of Eating Fresh (Raw)Meat

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) نَهَى أَنْ يُؤْكَلَ اللَّحْمُ غَرِيضاً وَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا تَأْكُلُهُ السِّبَاعُ وَ لَكِنْ حَتَّى تُغَيِّرَهُ الشَّمْسُ أَوِ النَّارُ .
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far عليه السلام, has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited eating fresh (raw) meat and said that beasts eat fresh meat, thus it must be used for food only after it is changed by sun or fire.’”

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ أَكْلِ لَحْمِ النِّيءِ فَقَالَ هَذَا طَعَامُ السِّبَاعِ .
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about eating fresh (raw) meat. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the food of beasts.”’
