One suffering from sorrow bears more patience
Al-Kāfi|Volume 8|Book 1|Chapter 159
159. A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ibn Mahboub, from the one whom he mentioned, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام said, ‘A strip of the slipper of Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام broke whilst he عليه الصلاة والسلام was in a funeral. So a man came with his strip for his عليه الصلاة والسلام slipper (as a replacement). He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘Hold on to your strip, for patience is foremost for the people in misfortune’.
