286. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Maalik bin Atiyya, who has narrated the following: Some of the companions of Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام has reported that Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام came out to us and he عليه الصلاة والسلام was ‘مُغْضَبٌ’ angry. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘I عليه الصلاة والسلام went out for some need, so some black people of Al-Medina presented themselves to me عليه الصلاة والسلام. They shouted at me عليه الصلاة والسلام as: ‘لَبَّيْكَ يَا جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَبَّيْكَ’ ‘Here I am (Labbaik) O Ja’far Bin Muhammad عليه الصلاة والسلام, here I am (Labbaik)!’ So I عليه الصلاة والسلام returned back to my عليه الصلاة والسلام house, in a fearful panic from what they had said, until I عليه الصلاة والسلام prostrated to my عليه الصلاة والسلام Lord عز وجل and rubbed my عليه الصلاة والسلام face to Him عز وجل, and humbled myself عليه الصلاة والسلام to Him عز وجل, and distanced myself عليه الصلاة والسلام (from them) to Him عز وجل from what they had shouted to me عليه الصلاة والسلام. And if Isa عليه السلام Ibn Maryam عليه السلام had added anything to what Allah عز وجل had Said regarding him عليه السلام, then he عليه السلام would have become deaf and would not have been able to hear anything after that ever, and become blinded and would not have been able to visualise anything after that ever, and would have become dumb and would not have been able to speak anything after that ever’. Then he عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘May Allah عز وجل Curse Abu Al-Khattaab and kill him with the iron’.
