Three things are of the prestige of believers
Al-Kāfi|Volume 8|Book 1|Chapter 311
ابْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) يَقُولُ ثَلَاثٌ هُنَّ فَخْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَ زَيْنُهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ الصَّلَاةُ فِي آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ وَ يَأْسُهُ مِمَّا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ وَ وَلَايَتُهُ الْإِمَامَ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ (عليهم السلام) قَالَ وَ ثَلَاثَةٌ هُمْ شِرَارُ الْخَلْقِ ابْتُلِيَ بِهِمْ خِيَارُ الْخَلْقِ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ أَحَدُهُمْ قَاتَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ (صلى الله عليه وآله) وَ عَادَاهُ وَ مُعَاوِيَةُ قَاتَلَ عَلِيّاً (عليه السلام) وَ عَادَاهُ وَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ قَاتَلَ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ (عليه السلام) وَ عَادَاهُ حَتَّى قَتَلَهُ.
311. Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said: I heard Abu Abdullah عليه السلام saying; ‘Three things are a matter of pride for the believer and an adornment of him in the world and the Hereafter: the prayer during the last part of the night, and his dejection from what is in the hands of the people, and his Wilayah of the Imam from the progeny of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم. And the three who are the most evil of creation by whom the best of creation was plagued are Abu Sufyan who fought against the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and opposed him, and Muawiya who fought against Ali عليه السلام and opposed him, and Yazid bin Muawiya, may Allah curse him, who fought against Al-Husayn bin Ali عليه السلام and opposed him until he killed him’.
