Deeds are not accepted without Wilayah

318. Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Hammaad Bin Abu Talha, from Muaz Bin Kaseer who said: I looked towards the pausing station (during the Pilgrimage) and there were a lot of people in it. So I approached Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام and said to him عليه الصلاة والسلام that, ‘The people at the Pausing station are so many (in numbers)’. He عليه الصلاة والسلام look around and pondered over them, then said: ‘Come closer to me عليه الصلاة والسلام, O Abu Abdullah, this is scum which the waves have brought from every place. No, by Allah عز وجل! There is no Pilgrimage except for you all. By Allah عز وجل, Allah عز وجل will not Accept except from you’.
