Another hadith on the excellence of the Shi’ah

38. From him, from Al-Hassan Bin Ali, from Abdullah Bin Al-Waleed Al-Kindy who said: ‘We came up to Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام during the era of Marwaan. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘Who are you all?’ So we said, ‘We are from the inhabitants of Al-Kufa’. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘There is no city from the cities with more people who love us عليه الصلاة والسلام than the inhabitants of Al-Kufa, and in particular this group. Allah عز وجل, Majestic is His عز وجل Mention, has Guided you to a matter which the people are ignorant of, and you love us عليه الصلاة والسلام whilst the people hate us عليه الصلاة والسلام, and you have followed us whilst the people oppose us عليه الصلاة والسلام, and you have ratified us عليه الصلاة والسلام and the people have belied us عليه الصلاة والسلام. So Allah عز وجل has Made you to live our عليه الصلاة والسلام life and Made you to die our عليه الصلاة والسلام deaths. I عليه الصلاة والسلام hereby testify for my عليه الصلاة والسلام father who عليه الصلاة والسلام used to say: ‘There is nothing between you all and your seeing of what delights Allah عز وجل has Kept for your eyes and your rejoicing, except for the reaching of your soul to over here’ – and he عليه الصلاة والسلام gestured by his عليه الصلاة والسلام hand to his عليه الصلاة والسلام throat – ‘and Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic has Said in His عز وجل Book: “[13:38] And certainly We sent messengers before you and gave them wives and children”. So we عليه الصلاة والسلام are the children of the Messenger صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم of Allah عز وجل’.
