Supplication and charms

88. Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad Al-Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Is’haq Al-Ashary, from Bakr Bin Muhammad Al-Azady who said: Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘The Rasool صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم Allah عز وجل had fever so Jibraeel عليه السلام gave to him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم a charm. So he said: ‘In the Name of Allah عز وجل I perform incantation on you صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and in the Name of Allah عز وجل I heal you صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and in the Name of Allah عز وجل from every disease which has exhausted you صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and in the Name of Allah عز وجل, and Allah عز وجل is your صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم Healer. So take it and congratulations to you صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم. [56:75] Nay, I swear by the places of the stars for it would free you صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم from it by the Permission of Allah عز وجل’. Bakr (the narrator) said, ‘And I asked him عليه الصلاة والسلام about an incantation for the fever, so he عليه الصلاة والسلام narrated to me with this’.
