Al-Imāma wa’l-Tabṣira min al-Ḥayra

محمد بن يحيى العطّار، قال: حدّثنا جعفر بن محمد بن مالك، قال: حدّثني حمدان بن منصور، عن سعد بن محمد، عن عيسى الخشّاب قال: قلت للحسين بن علي عليه السلام: أنت صاحب هذا الأمر؟ قال: لا، ولكن صاحب الأمر الطريد الشريد الموتور بأبيه، المكنّى بعمّه، يضع سيفه على عاتقه ثمانية أشهر.

Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā al-ʿAṭṭār said: “Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad b. Mālik narrated to us, saying: “Ḥamdān b. Manṣūr narrated to me, from Saʿd b. Muḥammad, from ʿĪsā al-Khashshāb, who narrated: “I said to al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī (as): “Are you the Master of this Ordinance?”[1] He replied: “No, but the Master of the Ordinance is the wandering fugitive whose father’s blood remains unavenged, known by his uncle’s teknonym,[2] who will keep his sword on his shoulder for eight months.”

سعد بن عبداللّه وعبداللّه بن جعفر الحميري، عن يعقوب بن يزيد، عن عبداللّه الغفاري، عن جعفر بن ابراهيم والحسين بن زيد جميعاً، عن أبي عبداللّه، عن آبائه عليهم السلام، قال: قال أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله عليه: لا يزال في ولدي مأمون مأمول.

Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh and ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar al-Ḥimyarī, from Yaʿqūb b. Yazīd, from ʿAbd Allāh al-Ghafārī, from both Jaʿfar b. Ibrāhīm and al-Ḥusayn b. Zayd, from Abī ʿAbd Allāh, from his forefathers (as-p), who narrated: “Amīr al-Muʾminīn (saa) said: “There will never cease to be among my posterity one who is trusted and hoped for.”

سعد بن عبداللّه قال: حدّثني موسى بن عمر بن يزيد الصيقل، عن علي بن أسباط، عن علي بن أبي حمزة، عن أبي بصير، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام في قول الله عزّ وجلّ: ﴿قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْرًۭا فَمَن يَأْتِيكُم بِمَآءٍۢ مَّعِينٍۭ﴾. فقال: هذه الآية نزلت في القائم، يقول: إن أصبح إمامكم غائباً عنكم لا تدرون أين هو، فمن يأتيكم بامام ظاهر، يأتيكم بأخبار السماء والأرض وحلال الله جلّ وعزّ وحرامه. ثمّ قال عليه السلام: والله ما جاء تأويل هذه الآية، ولابدّ أن يجيء تأويلها.

Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh, saying that Mūsā b. ʿUmar b. Yazīd al-Ṣayqal narrated to him, from ʿAlī b. Asbāṭ, from ʿAlī b. Abī Ḥamza, from Abī Baṣīr, from Abī Jaʿfar (as), in regards to the statement of Allāh (azwj): ﴾Say, ‘Tell me, should your water sink down [into the ground], who will bring you running water?’﴿ [67:30]—so he said: “This verse was revealed about the Qāʾim. He (Allāh) is saying: “Were your Imam to become occulted from you, and you would not know where he is, who would bring you an apparent Imam who brings you reports about heaven and earth, and that which Allāh (azwj) has made permissible, and what He has made impermissible?” He (as) then said: “By Allāh, the realisation of this verse has not yet come. Its realisation will come, as it must.”

سعد بن عبداللّه، عن محمد بن عبيد ومحمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن جميل بن صالح، عن أبي عبداللّه علیه السلام قال: يبعث القائم وليس في عنقه بيعة لأحد.

Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh, from Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd and Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn b. Abī’l-Khaṭṭāb, from Muḥammad b. Abī ʿUmayr, from Jamīl b. Ṣāliḥ, from Abī ʿAbd Allāh (as), who said: “The Qāʾim will go forth without an allegiance to anyone (binding) on his neck.”

سعد بن عبداللّه، عن يعقوب بن يزيد والحسن بن ظريف جميعاً، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن هشام بن سالم، عن أبي عبداللّه علیه السلام، قال: يقوم القائم عليه السلام وليس لأحد في عنقه بيعة.

Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh, from both Yaʿqūb b. Yazīd and al-Ḥasan b. Ẓarīf,[1] from Muḥammad b. Abī ʿUmayr, from Hishām b. Sālim, from Abī ʿAbd Allāh (as), who said: “The Qāʾim (as) will rise up without an allegiance to anyone (binding) on his neck.”

محمد بن يحيى، عن سلمة بن الخطاب، عن عبداللّه بن محمد، عن منيع بن الحجّاج البصري، عن مجاشع، عن معلّى عن محمد بن الفيض، عن أبي جعفر، قال: كانت عصا موسى لآدم عليهما السلام، فصارت الى شعيب، ثمّ صارت الى موسى بن عمران، وانّها لعندنا، وانّ عهدي بها آنفاً، وهي خضراء كهيئتها حين انتُزعت من شجرتها وانّها لتنطق اذا استُنطقت اُعدّت لقائمنا عليه السلام يصنع بها ما كان يصنع بها موسى بن عمران عليه السلام، وانّها تصنع ما تؤمر، وأنّها حيث اُلقيت تلقف ما يأفكون بلسانها.

Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā, from Salama b. al-Khaṭṭāb, from ʿAbd Allāh b. Muḥammad, from Munayʿ b. al-Ḥajjāj al-Baṣrī, from Majāshiʿ, from Muʿallā from Muḥammad b. al-Fayḍ, from Abī Jaʿfar (saa), who said: “The staff of Mūsā was originally with Ādam (as-d), so it passed down to Shuʿayb and then it passed down to Mūsā b. Amran, and now it is in our possession. Indeed, I last saw it very recently. It is green, just as its appearance was when it was plucked from its tree, and it speaks when one bids it to do so. It has been prepared for our Qāʾim (as) so that he may do with it what Mūsā b. Amran (as) used to do with it. It does as it is ordered to, and wherever it is thrown, it swallows what they were faking [1] with its tongue.”
