Things That Allah Removes Through a Believer
Al-Kāfi|Volume 2|Book 1|Chapter 103
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِنَّ الله لَيَدْفَعُ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ الْوَاحِدِ عَنِ الْقَرْيَةِ الْفَنَاءَ.
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan al-Taymi from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Zurara from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from abu Hamza from abu Ja’far عليه السلام who has said the following: “Allah wards off destruction from a whole town just because of the existence of one believer in it.”

2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ لا يُصِيبُ قَرْيَةً عَذَابٌ وَفِيهَا سَبْعَةٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ib Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from abu Hamza from abu Ja’far عليه السلام who has said the following: “A town in which seven believers live remains safe from torment.”

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله قَالَ قِيلَ لَهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِقَوْمٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَلَكِنْ يَخْلُصُونَ بَعْدَهُ.
3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from more than one narrator from abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “It was asked, ‘In the case of punishment that descends upon a people, does it affect the believers also?’ The Imam said, ‘Yes, but they find salvation in the hereafter.’”
