One’s Telling His Brother of His Love
Al-Kāfi|Volume 2|Book 4|Chapter 6
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ قَابُوسَ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِذَا أَحْبَبْتَ أَحَداً مِنْ إِخْوَانِكَ فَأَعْلِمْهُ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِ الْمَوْتى قالَ أَ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قالَ بَلى وَلكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي.
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from Muhammad ibn ‘Umar (ibn ‘Udhaynah) from his father from Nasr ibn Qabus who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام once said to me, ‘If you love one of your brothers (in belief), tell him about it; Ibrahim said, “O Lord, show me how do You bring the dead back to life?” The Lord asked, “Do you not believe it?” He said, “Yes, I firmly believe, but it is to comfort my heart . . (2:260)

2ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِذَا أَحْبَبْتَ رَجُلاً فَأَخْبِرْهُ بِذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُ أَثْبَتُ لِلْمَوَدَّةِ بَيْنَكُمَا.
2. Ahmad ibn Khalid and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa all from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah عليه السلام who has said the following: “When you love a man, tell him about it; it strengthens your love for one another.”
