1. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban from Muhammad ibn Musfim who has said the foiiowing: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah عليه السلام, ’Is there any hour during which performing Salah (prayer) for a deceased is prohibited? He (the Imam) said, ‘No, there is no such time.’”

2. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who said the following: “Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, has said, ‘You can perform Salah (prayer) for a deceased anytime; it is not a Salah (prayer) with Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees) and Sujud (prostrations). Only at sunset and sunrise performing Salah (prayer) in which there is humbleness, Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees), and Sujud (prostrations) is not desirable, because it sets and rises between the two Qarn (horns) of Satan.’” (Another meaning of the word ‘Qarn’ is a century)
