Blaming rightful claimants versus unjust takers
Nahj al-Balāgha|Volume 1|Book 3|Chapter 166
١٦٦. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام): لَا يُعَابُ الْمَرْءُ بِتَأْخِيرِ حَقِّهِ، إِنَّمَا يُعَابُ مَنْ أَخَذَ مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ.
166. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: No person is to be blamed for delay in (securing) his own right but blame lies on him who takes what he is not entitled to.
