Chapter on Intercepting Trade Goods
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 26
قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ: "لاَ يَتَلَقَّى أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَاماً خَارِجاً مِنَ اَلْمِصْرِ وَ لاَ يَبِيعُ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ ذَرُوا اَلْمُسْلِمِينَ يَرْزُقِ اَللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ ".
The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family) said: "None of you should intercept food outside the city, and no resident should sell on behalf of a visitor. Leave the Muslims so that Allah سبحانه وتعالى may provide for some of them through others."

وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ مِنْهَالٍ اَلْقَصَّابِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنْ تَلَقِّي اَلْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ "لاَ تَلَقَّ وَ لاَ تَشْتَرِ مَا تُلُقِّيَ وَ لاَ تَأْكُلْ مِنْ لَحْمِ مَا تُلُقِّيَ".
It is narrated from Minhal al-Qassab who said: I asked Abu Abdullah عليه السلام about intercepting sheep. Imam عليه السلام said: "Do not intercept, do not buy what has been intercepted, and do not eat the meat of what has been intercepted."
- Ṣaḥīḥ al-Faqīh
وَ رُوِيَ: "أَنَّ حَدَّ اَلتَّلَقِّي رَوْحَةٌ فَإِذَا صَارَ إِلَى أَرْبَعِ فَرَاسِخَ فَهُوَ جَلْبٌ ".
It is narrated: "The limit for intercepting is the distance of a short journey, but if it reaches four farsakhs, then it is considered transportation."
