1 hadith
176. A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Hammaad Bin Usmaan, from Zayd Bin Al-Hassan who said: I heard Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام saying: ‘Ali عليه الصلاة والسلام was the most similar to the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم in the partaking of food and manners. And he عليه الصلاة والسلام used to eat the bread and the oil whilst (he عليه الصلاة والسلام would feed) the people with the bread and the meat’. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘Ali عليه الصلاة والسلام used to fetch the water and the firewood, and Fatima عليها السلام used to grind, and knead, and bake, and stitch. She عليه الصلاة والسلام was of the most beautiful of face from the people, with cheeks like two roses, may Greetings be upon her عليه الصلاة والسلام, and upon her عليه الصلاة والسلام father صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and her عليه الصلاة والسلام husband عليه الصلاة والسلام, and her عليه الصلاة والسلام purified children عليه الصلاة والسلام’.
