175. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al-Hakam, from Muawiya Bin Wahab, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘The Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did not eat whilst leaning, since he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم was Sent by Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic, up to his صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم passing away. He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم was modest for the Sake of Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic, and no one ever saw his صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم knees is a gathering at all. And the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did not shake hands with a man at all by pulling his صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم hand from his hand until the man would pull his own hand from his صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم hands. The Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did not recompense anyone with evil at all. Allah عز وجل the High Said to him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم: “[23:96] Repel evil by what is best”, so he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did it. And he never denied any beggar at all. If he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم had it with him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would give it, or else he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would say: ‘Allah عز وجل will Give it’. And he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did not Give anything at all on the Authorisation of Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic except that Allah عز وجل Authorised that for him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم even if it was the Paradise, Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic Authorised that for him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم’. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘And his صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم brother (Ali عليه الصلاة والسلام) from after him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, by the One Who عز وجل Took his عليه الصلاة والسلام soul, did not eat anything at all Prohibited in the world until he عليه الصلاة والسلام exited from it. By Allah عز وجل, if two matters were presented to him عليه الصلاة والسلام in both of which was the obedience to Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic, he عليه الصلاة والسلام would take the one which was more difficult upon his عليه الصلاة والسلام body. By Allah عز وجل, he عليه الصلاة والسلام freed a thousand slaves for the Sake of Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic, from the work of his عليه الصلاة والسلام own hands. By Allah عز وجل, no one could endure the deeds of the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم after him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, apart from him عليه الصلاة والسلام. By Allah عز وجل, there did not descend upon the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم any (difficulty) at all except that he عليه الصلاة والسلام was the foremost in facing it, being a reliable one from him صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم for it. And whenever the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم sent him عليه الصلاة والسلام with his صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم flag, so Jibraeel would fight on his عليه الصلاة والسلام right and Mikaeel on his عليه الصلاة والسلام left. Then he عليه الصلاة والسلام would not return until Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic Granted victory to him عليه الصلاة والسلام’.
