With al-Buraq

567. Aban, from Abdullah Bin Ata’I, who has said the following: Abu Ja’far عليه الصلاة والسلام has said: ‘Jibraeel عليه السلام came to the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم with the Buraaq (ride) which was smaller than a mule, and larger than the donkey. It had two vibrating ears, and its eyes were in its hooves, and its steps were as far as its eyes could extend to. And if it ascends a mountain, its forelegs become shorter and its hind legs extend. So if it descends, its forelegs extend and its hind legs shorten. Its mane hung to the right of it, and it had two wings behind it.
