The words of ‘Abd al Rahman with Abu ‘Abd Allah, 'Alayhim al-Salam

74. Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad Al-Ashary, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Al-Washa, from Abaan Bin Usmaan, from Abdul Rahmaan Bin Abu Abdullah who said: ‘I said to Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام that, ‘Allah عز وجل Bestowed (Favour) upon us that we recognised His عز وجل Oneness, then Bestowed (Favour) upon us that we accepted the Prophet-hood of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, then Specialised us with your عليه الصلاة والسلام love, the People عليه الصلاة والسلام of the Household that we befriended you, and keep away from your عليه الصلاة والسلام enemies, and we intend by that to save ourselves from the Fire’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And I sympathised with him and cried’. So Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘Ask me عليه الصلاة والسلام, for by Allah عز وجل, you will not ask me عليه الصلاة والسلام about a thing except that I عليه الصلاة والسلام will inform you of it’. He (the narrator) said, ‘Abdul Malik Bin Ayn, ‘I have not heard him عليه الصلاة والسلام say that to any creature before you’. I said, ‘Inform me about the two men (Abu Bakr and Umar)’. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘They were unjust to us عليه الصلاة والسلام of our عليه الصلاة والسلام rights in the Book of Allah عز وجل, and with us عليه الصلاة والسلام Fatima عليها السلام, the inheritance from her عليه الصلاة والسلام father صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and the injustices of these two still flow up to this day’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And he gestured to his عليه الصلاة والسلام back’, (and said): ‘They threw the Book of Allah عز وجل behind their two backs’.
