The Imams عليه السلام are the only true guides

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنَّما أَنْتَ مُنْذِرٌ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هادٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) الْمُنْذِرُ وَلِكُلِّ زَمَانٍ مِنَّا هَادٍ يَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى مَا جَاءَ بِهِ نَبِيُّ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ثُمَّ الْهُدَاةُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ عَلِيٌّ ثُمَّ الاوْصِيَاءُ وَاحِدٌ بَعْدَ وَاحِدٍ.
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Muhammad Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ibn ’Udhayna from Buray al-‘Ijli from Ima abu Ja’far عليه السلام who has said the following about the words of Allah. “(Muhammad), you are only a Warner. For every nation there is a guide. (13:7)” The Imam عليه السلام said that at all times there is a guide from us who guides people to the teachings of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم Of the guides who possess Divine authority after the holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم is Amir al-Mu’minin عليه السلام and his successors one after the other.”
