Reward of Salaat-e-Shab
Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl|Volume 1|Book 2|Chapter 109
حَدَّثَنِی أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنْ کَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ قَالَ- الْمالُ وَ الْبَنُونَ زِینَهُ الْحَیاهِ الدُّنْیا إِنَّ الثَّمَانَ رَکَعَاتٍ الَّتِی یُصَلِّیهَا الْعَبْدُ آخِرَ اللَّیْلِ زِینَهُ الْآخِرَهِ.
4. It was narrated to me by Ahmad b. Muhammad from his father from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Umar b. Ali b. Umar from the one the person that narrated to him from Abi Abdillah عليه السلام who said: ‘Wealth and children are the adornment of life’, surely the eight rakat prayer offered in the last part of night is the adornment of the Hereafter.”
