Reward of Ziyarat of Imam Husain عليه السلام

50. Umme Saeed Hamsiya says that she was present near Imam Ja’far Sadiq عليه السلام. She had sent someone to rent a mule so that she can perform Ziyarat of the martyrs. Imam عليه السلام asked her, “Why don’t you go for the Ziyarat of the chief of the martyrs?” She asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, who is the chief of the martyrs?” Imam عليه السلام replied, “Imam Husain عليه السلام is the chief of martyrs.” She asked, “What is the reward of one who does his Ziyarat?” Imam عليه السلام replied, “It is equal to a Hajj and Umrah.” Then showing his three fingers he conveyed that the reward is three times that of performing that deed.
