Punishment of breaking relations and creating differences
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِذَا ظَهَرَ الْعِلْمُ وَ احْتُرِزَ الْعَمَلُ وَ ائْتَلَفَتِ الْأَلْسُنُ وَ اخْتَلَفَتِ الْقُلُوبُ وَ تَقَاطَعَتِ الْأَرْحَامُ هُنَالِکَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَ أَعْمی أَبْصارَهُمْ
1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq عليه السلام narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “If knowledge is visible in a person and he does not act on it i.e. his words and actions do not match and if he breaks relations, Allah makes him deaf and blind.”
