Punishment of enmity with Amirul Momineen عليه السلام and denying or doubting his Wilayat

19. My father رحمه الله said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah who raised it to Hisham b. Salim who said: The narrator asked Imam Ja’far Sadiq عليه السلام about one who imprecates Ali عليه السلام. Imam عليه السلام replied, “I swear by Allah that it is permissible to kill him however doing so should not become a cause of death of an innocent human.” The narrator asked, “How can it become a cause of the death of an innocent?” Imam عليه السلام replied, “The death of that infidel should not be retaliated by the death of a believer.”
