The Rewards and the Merits of Establishing Prayers in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم

6. Ḥukaym ibn Dāwūd ibn Ḥukaym narrated to me from Salamah ibn Khaťťāb, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from ‘Ammār ibn Mūsā Al-Sābāťi, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq عليه السلام), “Is praying in the Mosque of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم the same as praying anywhere else in Madīnah?” Imam عليه السلام replied, “No. One Salāt (prayer) in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم is equal to one thousand prayers elsewhere. However, praying anywhere else in Madīnah is just like praying in any other city.”
