9. My father and ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Abil Qāsim Hārūn ibn Muslim ibn Sa’dān, from Mas’adah ibn Sadaqah, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq عليه السلام), “What is the reward for one who goes to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain عليه السلام?” Imam عليه السلام said, “Going to Hajj with the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم will be registered for him.” I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Going to Hajj with the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم?!” Imam عليه السلام replied, “Yes and (even) two Hajj (with the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم).” I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Two Hajj?!” Imam عليه السلام replied, “Yes and (even) three Hajj (with the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم).” Imam عليه السلام kept increasing the number until he reached ten and then I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Ten Hajj with the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم?!” Imam عليه السلام replied, “Yes and (even) twenty Hajj (with the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم).” I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Even twenty Hajj?!” Imam عليه السلام kept increasing the number until he reached fifty and then he stopped.
