The Rewards and the Merits of Establishing Prayers in the Mosque of Kūfah and the Mosque of Sahlah

5. Ḥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muḥammad narrated to me from his father, from Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Jabalah, from Salām ibn Abī ‘Amrah, from Sa’d ibn Ťarīf, from Asbagh ibn Nubātah, who said: ‘Ali (the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام) said: Praying a recommended prayer in this mosque (Mosque of Kūfah) is equal to performing an ‘Umrah with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and praying an obligatory prayer in it is equal to performing a Hajj with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم. Indeed one thousand prophets and one thousand successors have prayed in this mosque.
