“TAQŠǏR” of the Obligatory Prayers and Performing Voluntary Prayers During Ziyārah

My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan both narrated to me from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from Qāsim ibn Muḥammad Al-Jawhari, from ‘Ali ibn Abī Ḥamzah, who said: I asked Abā Ibrāhīm (Imam Kāżim عليه السلام) if a Muqassir can establish voluntary prayers next to the grave of Ḥusain عليه السلام, in the (different holy) sites of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and in the two Ḥarams. Imam عليه السلام replied, “Yes. Establish as many voluntary prayers as you can.” Note from the Author: My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh who asked Ayyūb ibn Nūḥ about that which has been narrated in regards to Taqsīr of the prayers in the holy sites like Makkah, Madīnah, Kūfah, and next to the grave of Ḥusain عليه السلام. He replied, “I (believe it is also permissible to) establish the obligatory prayers in Taqsīr, and Safwān used to do the same. Ibn Abī ‘Umayr and the rest of our companions also used to establish the obligatory prayers in Taqsīr in these four sites.”
