Indication of the Location of the Grave of the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام

1. My father, my brother, ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain, and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan all narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Abī Khalaf, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Ali ibn Ḥakam, from Safwān Al-Jammāl, who said: ‘Āmir ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Judhā’ah Al-Azdi and I were with Abī ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq عليه السلام) when ‘Āmir said to the Imam عليه السلام, “People believe that the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام was buried in Ruḥbah.” “No,” Imam عليه السلام replied. “So where was he buried?” ‘Āmir asked. Imam عليه السلام replied: After the death of the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام, Ḥasan عليه السلام carried him (to an area which is located) behind Kūfah, close to (the sea of) Najaf, to the left side of Gharī, and on the right side of Ḥīrah. He buried (the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام) in some white-coloured gravel. After some time, I (Safwān Al-Jammāl) went to the location (which the Imam عليه السلام had described), and I thought I had found the grave. When I returned, I told the Imam عليه السلام about the location (that I had thought to be the grave of the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام). Imam عليه السلام responded, “You were right! You were right! You were right! May Allāh have mercy on you.”
