Indication of the Location of the Grave of the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام
12 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ مَوْضِعِ قَبْرِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (ع) قَالَ فَوَصَفَ لِي مَوْضِعَهُ حَيْثُ دَكَادِكِ الْمِيلِ- قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَصَلَّيْتُ عِنْدَهُ ثُمَّ عُدْتُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) مِنْ قَابِلٍ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَهَابِي وَ صَلَاتِي عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ أَصَبْتَ فَمَكَثْتُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً أُصَلِّي عِنْدَهُ
12. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Nasr, who said: I asked Imam Riďā عليه السلام about the location of the grave of the Commander of the Believers عليه السلام. He told me that it was in Gharī. I asked, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Some people say that he is buried in Ruḥbah.” Imam عليه السلام replied, “No. Some people (even) believe that he is buried in the Mosque (of Kūfah).”
