The Eighty-Sixth Assembly, the Assembly of Tuesday, Five Days Remaining in Rajab, 368 AH.

Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Masrur رحمه الله narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us from Mu`alla b. Muhammad al-Basri from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr al-Bazanti from `Ali b. Ja`far. He said: I heard Aba’l Hasan Musa b. Ja`far عليه السلام say: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم was sitting when an angel visited him. It had twenty-four faces. So, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said to him: My beloved Gabriel, I have never seen you in this form. So, the angel said: I am not Gabriel. I am Mahmud. Allah sent me to marry the light to the light. So, he صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: Who to who? He said: Fatima to `Ali. He said: When he turned around, he saw that, between his shoulders, it was written: “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, `Ali is his deputy.” So, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: When was this written between your shoulders? So, he said: Twenty-two thousand years before Allah created Adam.
