Kinds of Clothes in Which It Is Undesirable to Perform Salah (Prayer) As Well As Otherwise
24. Muhammad ibn Yahya in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, has said, ‘You must not perform Salah (prayer) in cloths that are shaffa or suffa, that is, that which is painted.’” In another Hadith it is said, ‘Do not perform Salah (prayer) in black clothes; however, black slipper, cloak or turban is not harmful.’”
