Kinds of Clothes in Which It Is Undesirable to Perform Salah (Prayer) As Well As Otherwise
30. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhsin ibn Ahmad from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah عليه السلام, if I can perform Salah (prayer) with a black cap. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not perform Salah (prayer) with it; it is of the clothes of people of the fire.’”
