Chapter on the Reward of Suhoor
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 2|Book 2|Chapter 22
وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَمِيرِ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنِ اَلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اَللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى وَ مَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى اَلْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ وَ اَلْمُتَسَحِّرِينَ بِالْأَسْحَارِ فَلْيَتَسَحَّرْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَ لَوْ بِشَرْبَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ.
It is narrated from Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Indeed, Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Blessed and Exalted, and His angels send blessings upon those who seek forgiveness and those who partake in suhoor during the pre-dawn hours. So let one of you partake in suhoor, even if it is just a sip of water."
