Chapter on Sacrificial Animals That Become Injured or Perish Before Reaching Their Designated Place and What is Permitted to Eat From Them
Muawiyah ibn Ammar narrated from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام regarding a man who brought a sacrificial camel that gave birth. Imam عليه السلام said: "He should slaughter it and its offspring. If the hady (sacrificial animal) was guaranteed but perished, he should purchase another in its place and another in place of its offspring."
