Chapter on Virtues of Hajj

Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 2|Book 3|Chapter 2
It has been narrated from Abu Hamzah Al-Thumali, who said: Imam Ali ibn Al-Husayn عليه السلام said to us: "Which is the most virtuous place?" We replied: "Allah سبحانه وتعالى, His Messenger, and the son of His Messenger know best." Imam عليه السلام said: "The most virtuous place is what lies between the Rukn (corner of the Kaaba) and the Maqam (Station of Ibrahim). If a man were to live as long as Nuh عليه السلام did among his people—one thousand years less fifty—fasting by day and praying by night in that place, and then met Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic, without our Wilayah (allegiance), it would not benefit him in any way."
