Chapter on What to Say Upon Entering a City or Village

In the will of the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (peace and blessings of Allah سبحانه وتعالى be upon him and his family) to Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام, he said: "O Ali, when you approach a city or village, say as you behold it: 'O Allah سبحانه وتعالى, I ask You for its goodness, and I seek refuge in You from its evil. O Allah سبحانه وتعالى, make us beloved to its people, and make its righteous inhabitants beloved to us.'"
