Chapter on What is Permissible and Impermissible to Wear in the State of Ihram

It was narrated from Al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar, who said: I said to Abu Abdullah عليه السلام: "Can a man enter Ihram wearing a black garment?" Imam عليه السلام said: "He should not enter Ihram in a black garment, nor should a deceased person be shrouded in it."
