Chapter on What is Performed on Behalf of the Deceased Regarding the Pilgrimage of Islam, Whether They Made a Will or Not
Harun ibn Hamzah al-Ghanawi narrated from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام regarding a man who died without performing the Hajj of Islam and left behind only enough wealth for the expenses of Hajj, and he had heirs. Imam عليه السلام said: "They have the greater right to his inheritance. If they wish, they may use it for themselves, and if they wish, they may perform Hajj on his behalf."
