Among the Concise Words of the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him)

It is narrated from Abu Hashim Al-Jafari that he said: "I was afflicted with severe hardship, so I went to Abu Al-Hasan Imam Ali ibn Muhammad Al-Hadi عليه السلام, peace be upon him. I sought permission to enter, and he granted me permission. When I sat down, Imam عليه السلام said: 'O' Abu Hashim, which of Allah's سبحانه وتعالى blessings upon you do you wish to fulfill its gratitude?' Abu Hashim said: I was speechless and did not know what to say. Then Imam عليه السلام, peace be upon him, initiated the conversation and said: 'Indeed, Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic, has granted you faith, by which He سبحانه وتعالى has made your body forbidden to the Fire. He سبحانه وتعالى has granted you well-being, enabling you to obey Him سبحانه وتعالى. He سبحانه وتعالى has granted you contentment, protecting you from disgrace. O' Abu Hashim, I began with this because I thought you were about to complain to me about who has caused this hardship to you. I have ordered for you one hundred dinars, so take them.'"
