Among the Concise Words of the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him)
وَ رَوَى جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ اَلْفَزَارِيُّ اَلْكُوفِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو اَلْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ: "إِنَّ عِيَالَ اَلرَّجُلِ أُسَرَاؤُهُ فَمَنْ أَنْعَمَ اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَةً فَلْيُوَسِّعْ عَلَى أُسَرَائِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ أَوْشَكَ أَنْ تَزُولَ تِلْكَ اَلنِّعْمَةُ".
Ja'far ibn Muhammad ibn Malik Al-Fazari Al-Kufi narrated from Ja'far ibn Muhammad ibn Sahl, from Said ibn Muhammad, from Masadah, who said that Abu Al-Hasan Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim عليه السلام, peace be upon them, said: "Indeed, a man's family are his captives. So whoever Allah سبحانه وتعالى blesses with a bounty should expand that blessing upon his family. If he does not, that blessing is at risk of disappearing."
