Chapter on Retaliation (Qisas) and the Amount of Blood Money (Diyyah)
Jafar ibn Bashir narrated from Mualla Abu Uthman from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said: I asked Imam عليه السلام about the saying of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Almighty and Majestic: "But if one remits it as charity, it is an expiation for him.". (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:45) Imam عليه السلام said: "A portion of his sins will be expiated according to the extent of the forgiveness granted in the case of intentional killing."
