Chapter on Bequests From the Time of Adam
The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Indeed, Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted, has one hundred and twenty-four thousand prophets. I am the master, the best, and the most honored of them before Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic. Every prophet had a successor whom he appointed by the command of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted in His remembrance. Verily, my successor, Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام, is the master, the best, and the most honored among all of their successors before Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic."
