3. Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hakam from ‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I asked abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, ‘Who are one’s dependents for whom providing sustenance is obligatory on him?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Such people are one’s parents, children and wife.’”
