The Tradition of Umm Dāwūd and Her Deed of Worship

ʿAbd al-Wāḥid b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbdūs al-Nīshābūrī al-ʿAṭṭār narrated to us, saying that ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. Qutayba al-Nīshābūrī narrated to him among others, saying that Ḥamdān b. Sulaymān narrated to him among others, saying that ʿAlī b. Nuʿmān narrated to him among others, saying that ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṭāʾī narrated to him among others, from al-Ṣādiq, Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad عليهما السلام, who said: “Whoever fasts on the twenty-seventh of Rajab will have recorded for him the reward of fasting for seventy years.”
