Faḍāʾil al-Ashhur al-Thalātha|Volume 1|Book 2|Chapter 1
Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā al-ʿAṭṭār narrated to us, saying that Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to him, among others, from Aḥmad b. Muḥammad, from Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Abī Naṣr al-Bizanṭī, from Saʿd b. Ibrāhīm, from Muʿāwiya b. ʿAmmār, from Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, who stated: “By Allāh, fasting for thirty days and following it up with another fast—the fast of Shaʿbān—forming two consecutive months, is (worthy of acceptance of) repentance from Allāh.”
