Finding Defect in Merchandise after the Sale

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah from Musa ibn Bakr from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far عليه السلام, has said, ‘Whoever buys something and finds defect in it or injuries that does not get well which was not apparent to him (when buying) and he then does some changes in it after taking delivery then finds out about the defect or injury, he must approve the sale and ask for the refund of the cost of the defect or injury from the price of the item (he has paid).”’
